Dr Mingshu Wang selected for national DAFNI Fellowship

Dr Mingshu Wang, Reader in Geospatial Data Science at the University of Glasgow, has been selected as one of ten new DAFNI Fellows, following a nationally competitive process that attracted 116 applicants.

The fellowship will support his project, “GeoAI-enabled workflows for decision-ready infrastructure evidence”, which will develop analysis-ready datasets, reproducible models, and transparent workflows for scenario-based analysis of UK infrastructure systems. The project will contribute to the DAFNI platform by supporting reusable and evidence-based infrastructure analytics for decision-making across academia, government, and industry.

Each DAFNI Fellow has been awarded £10,000 to support staff time, travel, knowledge exchange, conferences, and dissemination activities. The fellowship will run from 1 April 2026 to 30 June 2027, during which Dr Wang will engage with the wider DAFNI community through workshops, conferences, and collaborative activities focused on infrastructure resilience and interdisciplinary research.
