Heyi Wei is an Associate Professor at Jiangxi Normal University and the founding director of the Geodesign Research Center. He received his Ph.D. in Engineering from Wuhan University in 2016. From 2024 to 2025, he served as a visiting researcher at the University of Glasgow. Prior to that, he held the position of Research Associate at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and was a visiting scholar at Newcastle University in the United Kingdom. His research interests primarily focus on urban biodiversity, digital simulation of urban environments, and Geodesign, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary approaches to advancing theories and practices of sustainable urban development.
