Dr. Cai Wu is currently an Assistant Professor in Urban Governance and Design Thrust at the Society Hub of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou). He holds a Bachelor degree in Architecture from the National University of Singapore, a Master degree in Smart Cities and Urban Analytics from University College London, and a PhD degree in Urban Analysis (Design) from the University of Twente in the Netherlands. He has served as a visiting scholar at the Urban Analytic Lab (UAL) at the National University of Singapore.

Dr. Wu’s currently leads the Urban Morphology Studio (UMS). UMS spans the interdisciplinary fields of architecture, geographic information science, and urban informatics, specifically focusing on integrating data with emerging quantitative methods to understand urban forms and their relationship with urban activities.
